On Wednesday, September 4, Bill had ameeting from 8 AM until 5 PM. Sandra got a ride to the strip about 9 AM and walked from MGM Grand all the way to Venetian and back to Paris. You'll have to ask her about her adventures that day. Bill drove in to Bally's/Paris after the meeting and met Sandra at a nickel Little Green Men machine in Paris, where she was winning. Had dinner at the buffet at Bally's (rating - excellent, with prime rib, lamb, veal, crab legs, shrimp, and lots more). Headed back to the hotel and visited the little casino next door for a beer; quit relatively early for Las Vegas.

On Thursday, we awoke to a slight amount of rain. We had breakfast at the little casino, then checked out and headed for the strip. Visited several casinos that we hadn't seen last year, including Riviera, Sahara and Circus Circus. Sandra won a stuffed animal playing skee-ball at Circus Circus. Also saw some jugglers there and played a few slots with indifferent results.

After a quick lunch, we left Las Vegas at 1:25 PM and headed for the Utah parks. Arrived at Hurricane, not far from Zion National Park, at 4:30. One mountain was illuminated by a shaft of light through the clouds, but couldn't get a picture. Stayed at the Comfort Inn, which actually had a real waffle iron we could use to make our own waffles! Supper was at a local cafe - no Mexican food in that town!
