Bill's May 2024 Trip to New Mexico

Why this trip? Hard to believe, but there were places I'd never visited, places I'd last visited long ago, and new displays and museums I've frequented on past trips. There was also "green," my answer to New Mexico's official state question. Surprisingly, there are miles of roads I've never traveled and even cities where I've never stayed. And mountains!

As before, I tried to channel Sandra and notice the types of things she always incorporated in her "tid-bits," take pictures for the next contest, and see new places.

The trip description and many pictures are also on Our Personal Blog for May 2024, which will open in a new window (as will all of the following links).

  • You may prefer to read the text of my blog posts as a PDF document, in order and without the pictures.

      Visits include museums in:

      Abilene, KS (2)(RON)
Scott City, KS (also a new overnight town)
      Tucumcari, NM (2)(RON)
Pecos NHP, NM (including the Glorieta Pass battlefield)
      Santa Fe, NM (6) (RON)
      Albuquerque, NM (3)

      Canyon, TX

      Other stops include:
      Mosquero, NM
      Clovis, NM (new overnight town)
      Pratt, KS (RON)

I also traversed over 800 miles of "virgin roads"
Visted Monument Rocks & El Quartelejo ruins

    • If you're a Facebook friend of Bill, I will post a picture album there.
